The Character of the Comforter
Welcome to the fourth video/third full lesson in the Fire in the Fireplace, a series on the Holy Spirit in our churches.
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter, the spirit of Jesus. He is working alongside us, to rebuild us. We often ask, "Why is this taking so long? Why doesn't God work faster?" In this video, I relate the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives with the story of Nehemiah rebuilding Jerusalem. Even in our redeemed state, we have broken walls that need rebuilding, and the Holy Spirit works to rebuild them on his schedule.
The Fire in the Fireplace series explores the work and power of the Holy Spirit in the Christian church today. The videos are each between 4:30 and 7:00 minutes long and accompanied with study notes and guides for small groups.
