The Heart of the Holy Spirit
Welcome to the third video/second full lesson in the Fire in the Fireplace, a series on the Holy Spirit in our churches.
I am posting these videos weekly as part of a response to my recent Town Hall meeting with the Los Angeles Deanery where several people asked if they could receive more teaching by their bishop. n addition, the Pentecost season gives us a great opportunity to study the person and work of the Holy Spirit, a chance for us to have a fresh Pentecost today.
Jesus describes the Holy Spirit as a person with a purpose. He comes alongside us the same way that Jesus did when he walked with us on the earth; he has the same heart Jesus does. In this video, I examine what that means to each of us today.
The Fire in the Fireplace series explores the work and power of the Holy Spirit in the Christian church today. The videos are each between 4:30 and 7:00 minutes long and accompanied with study notes and guides for small groups.
Over the next few weeks, I will be publishing the videos on our website and sending the videos out in newsletters. If you wish, you can also find the whole series and the accompanying notes here.
